Salsa South Africa is a registered non-profit association founded to promote, encourage and create access to the art of Salsa dancing and music to the broader public, teachers and performers in South Africa.

The overall goal of Salsa South Africa is to encourage the local salsa community to work together, building on previous successes and overcoming shortcomings to increase the number of people dancing Salsa while advancing the level of dancing and professionalism.Growing Salsa with integrity and towards world class standards will involve setting and maintaining norms and standards,improving communication, ecouraging exchanges of information and being accountable to the salsa community. Collaboration between a core group of local instructors and actions on behalf of the Salsa community will rely on guiding norms, standards and a code of conduct to ensure accountability.

Membership is open to any person who resides in South Africa and who subscribes to the objectives of Salsa South Africa. Applications are in accordance with procedures and guidelines set out in the constitution.
